Reality show featuring wrestling morticians to air in January.

We probably should hold this for Weird News Wednesday, but we didn’t think you’d want to wait that long. Yes, it’s true. WGN is now filming a docudrama (aka reality show) that will feature a family of morticians who moonlight as pro wrestlers.

The show, Wrestling with Death, features the Latham family of Osceola, Arkansas. The Lathams run the Wilson Family Funeral Home and operate the Mid-Southern Championship Wrestling League.

Wrestling with Death is WGN’s first foray into unscripted television. The network has ordered 12 episodes. The show is scheduled to premiere at 10 pm Eastern Time on January 13, 2015.
