According to the National Funeral Director’s Association (NFDA), a group that tracks trends in the funeral industry, there are several significant changes that are driving the services the funeral home of today provides. While these are not the only trends, among these most significant are: the desire for personalization, increasing popularity of cremation, and the use of technology. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that many funeral homes are making substantial investments to update their facilities in order to meet the needs of today’s customer. One such company is Houston’s Pat H. Foley & Co.
Services today often include video tributes, slideshows, catering and DVDs and cremations are becoming more common…”People now want audio and video tributes, and memorial booklets that become keepsakes,” Hendrickson said. “We have a production team in-house that will put together DVDs, booklets, brochures or anything a family would like to create to remember their loved one.”
